Note on Panasonic S1R multi shot high resolution mode
I struggled to figure out how this works. I took some photos with both the Panasonic S1R and the Hasselblad X1D. Using Raw Digger to look at the raws it seems clear that both cameras use a standard bayer configuration. The S1R camera always takes 8 photos.

I struggled to figure out how this works. I took some photos with both the Panasonic S1R and the Hasselblad X1D. Using Raw Digger to look at the raws it seems clear that both cameras use a standard bayer configuration. The S1R camera always takes 8 photos.
Each pixel is surrounded by 8 pixels accessible by plus or minus 1/2 step in both axis. I think the camera takes 8 photos with the pixel shifts shown and then constructs a pixel with 3 colors for each position in the bayer array. The weighting is always double for green as compared to red or blue, the same as in a regular bayer array.
